# Privacy Policy for TikTok Mate

TikTok Mate ("the Extension") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension does and does not collect.

## Data Collection

**The Extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data.**

Specifically:

- **No user data is collected** — The Extension does not gather any personal information, browsing history, or usage statistics.
- **No analytics or tracking** — No third-party analytics, cookies, or tracking scripts are used.
- **No data transmission** — All data processing happens locally on your device. Video metrics are read from the TikTok page you are currently viewing and displayed in the side panel. No data is sent to external servers except:
  - **TikTok CDN** (`*.tiktokcdn.com`) — When you choose to download a video or image file, the file is fetched from TikTok's content delivery network to your device.
  - **tikvidly.com** — When you click "Download", the Extension sends a request to generate a download link.
  - **chat.deepseek.com** — When you use the AI analysis feature, the Extension opens DeepSeek's chat page and inputs video data for analysis. This occurs only when you explicitly click an AI button.

## Data Storage

The Extension uses `chrome.storage.local` to save only:
- Your language preference (Chinese/English)
- Your custom AI prompt text (optional)

This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted externally.

## Third-Party Services

The Extension interacts with the following third-party services only when you explicitly trigger an action:
